The City of Charlotte is continuing to expand transportation options in the region and the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is seeking professional artists living and/or working in the Charlotte area to integrate art into two future bus stops at the intersection of West Blvd. and Remount Rd.
Artists living and/or working in the Charlotte area are invited to submit qualifications. Artists should be accustomed to engaging with local communities in an effort to ensure that the art is accessible and meaningful to the public. Emerging artists are strongly encouraged to apply.
The City of Charlotte will select at least 1 artist to incorporate art into the bus stop shelters. Art budget is $5K and application materials are due by May 30, 2021 at 11:59 pm.
